Damodar Kund is one of the Holy and pilgrimage places for Hindu Devotees who wants to reach Damodar Kund at least once in their life. Most of them have one question regarding the trip how to reach Damodar Kund Nepal? Here in this article, I am going to share all the details about how to reach Damodar Kund Nepal.

Damodar Kund is a holy lake situated at the trans-Himalaya of Nepal near the Tibet border. The followers of Lord Krishna who is united as Iskcon believe that they get ”Moksha” when they reach Damodar Kund. Ordinary Hindus (who believe in all 33 Koti gods) definitely believe in Lord Krishna as well so they have the same influence. According to the Hindu belief, After doing the ”Chardham pilgrimage tour” (mostly in India) they have to visit Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu, Muktinath Temple in lower Mustang, and if Possible Damodar Kund (hard to reach due to lack of means of transport) upper Mustang, Nepal.

How to Reach Damodar Kund Nepal?

There are 3 different ways to reach Damodar Kund, you can choose one which fits you.

  • Trekking

Trekking is the best way to reach Damodar Kund if you are physically fit and you like to walk. Please read our Damodar Kund Trek page for more details.

  • Jeep driving and horse riding

Till Jomsom, the normal program for everyone is the same. After Jomsom, you take a jeep and drive till Yara or Ghara village. Now the adventure begins with horse riding. You will follow the itinerary as mentioned on the trekking page.

  • Helicopter Tour

A helicopter tour is an easiest and most expensive way to reach Damodar Kunda. There are some trekking companies even a helicopter company that organize helicopter tours to Damodar Kund from Muktinath every season.

How I reach Damodar Kund Nepal?
